Ah, yes. The Theramore Vanguard. By far the most of my experiences there were very pleasant ones, especially in the MC/BWL days. I joined shortly after a certain gender-confused night elf left the leadership to Obatala and Xenovieva (the two druids in frame 2), and I have to say: Personality clashes or no personality clashes, I met some very interesting people in my time there.

Some of the best times I’ve had in the game was when I led the mage-squad in Blackwing Lair. I still fondly remember the mages’ motto: “The mages of the Vanguard are behind you! 300 metres behind you! And accelerating!”. Things weren’t all hugs and puppies, but I do remember laughing my arse off even after the third wipe.

Also, the mages would use wands to test Chromaggus’ vulnerabilities, and I encouraged them to bring different types of wands for the fight. The raid chat would often go something like this:

[Zacharijah]: Alright, which types of wands did you bring?

[Rudolpho]: Shadow.

[Rodentia]: Shadow.

[Draconus]: Shadow.

[Cracklebell]: Er. Shadow.

[Deiana]: Frost and shadow.

    Some of the best times I have ever had with the VG were in those raids, betting in the hunter channel who was going to die first, you, or Draconus <3
